Batik Studio
Studio Batik is a practice room that focuses on the development of 2-dimensional applied fine arts with various techniques in practice. This studio can be used by students, lecturers and overseas students studying at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences and Universitas Brawijaya in the BIPA program as a creative space in the introduction of cultural identity. The Batik Studio is equipped with slanting equipment, batik wax/night stove, dipping tub for batik coloring, gawangan, gas stove, apron and other supporting tools. The studio has a capacity of 15 people each.

Workshop Activities
LBEKRAF in collaboration with the Fine Arts Study Program and LIH held a batik workshop for overseas students at Brawijaya University who are interested in learning about Batik. LIH plays the role of providing space and equipment for the batik workshop program.
Procedure
The procedure for using the studio is written in the studio Procedure Operational Standard (SOP). The studio can be used by students and lecturers by obeying existing regulations, using equipment properly and correctly according to Instruksi Kerja (IK/Work Instruction). Before and after using the batik gas stove equipment, please report to the laboratory staff. Turn on the blower in the room which is useful for improving air circulation due to combustion, batik wax melting and it is recommended to wear the rubber gloves provided during batik coloring to avoid irritation to the skin. Equipment and facilities can only be used in the studio and are not allowed to be used outside the studio or taken home.
